HISTORY

Those who see in each cup of coffee a unique, magical and evocative experience are our main inspiration when we import, blend and roast our coffee.

Due to the Barcelona Universal Exhibition in 1929, the Brazilian Government assigned the distribution of coffee and coffee related products to German de Erausquin Olabarrieta. This was the beginning of Bracafé, or Brazilian coffee. Since then, the taste and flavour of Bracafé has enhanced the coffee experience of Spanish people.

In 1934, Cafés Bracafé gave away the 'Taca Bracafé ' trophy to the winner among Brazilian and Catalan teams. This competition was prior to the FIFA World Cup played in Rome that same year.

As the company intended to expand Bracafé throughout Spain, they opened franchises in Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Zaragoza, Bilbao and Barcelona.

For generations the coffee shop on 2 Caspe St. has been a point of reference for a unique, exclusive excellence. It has been a meeting place of literature, radio, business, theatre and music.

Bracafé cares for each bean, each cup of coffee, as if it were a work of art. This has been possible since our family-run company has benefited from three generations of coffee tasters.
They emphasize quality control from the country of origin to the skill of serving coffee.

Let the richness of its flavour, the intensity of its taste, the experience of such an exquisite and evocative drink bring you overseas.
